Owners of historic and classic motorcycles are being urged to bring their treasured machines out of
sheds and garages and put them in line for a prize.
There’s just one last chance for riders to fire up their two-wheeled pride and joy and qualify for the final
round of the Classic Bikers Club Bike of the Year Award. A motorcycle picked from among private
entries to the 19th Carole Nash Eurojumble will go forward to the award’s grand final at the 19th Carole
Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in October.
The Eurojumble is at Netley Marsh, between Cadnam and Totton, Hants SO40 7GY, on Friday,
September 7, and Saturday, September 8, but bikes need only be displayed on the Saturday and the
trophy presentation takes place at 2pm. Bike entry is FREE if booked in advance. If you turn up on the
day it costs £7.
Classic Bike Shows event organiser Nick Mowbray said: “Don’t keep your bike under wraps ¬– if you’ve
got something special let the world know and bring it along to Netley. Five of the six finalists for the
Classic Bikers Club Bike of the Year Award have already been chosen. Those spots are gone but we’ve
still got one left and it could be yours. If you win the final in October you get £1000 worth of kit from GP
Legends and the satisfaction of knowing that your bike has beaten hundreds of others from across the
country to the top spot in classic motorcycling. Netley’s free to enter if you book in advance – what have
you got to lose?”
More than 300 traders showcased their wares at last year’s Eurojumble event and this year it looks
certain to be larger still – offering an even greater choice for motorcyclists in search of spare parts,
tools, books, signs, magazines or even complete machines.
Parking is free on both days and dogs on a lead are welcome. Gates are open 9am to 5pm each day.
Pre-booked one-day tickets cost £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for senior citizens and £2 for under 15s. Two-
day tickets are £13, £9 and £4 respectively. Weekend camping costs £20. Tickets on the gate are £7,
£5 and £2.
